Planning your visit in advance is the key to avoiding overspending. There are tiered rates and special discounts that you can take advantage of:
Category discounts: If you are an undergraduate student (under 25 years old), under 18 years old, or belong to the Andean Community (Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia), you are eligible for a reduced rate.
Time-based promotion: Citizens of the Andean Community and foreign residents in Peru receive an additional 50% discount if they choose the 6:00 AM or 3:00 PM entry times.
Free entry for children: Children under 3 years old enter the Sanctuary for free.
Savings tip: During the low season (November to March), hotels and tours usually lower their prices. If you travel during the high season, book 3 months in advance to secure the most affordable tickets.
Guide service: Although not mandatory, hiring a guide in a shared (group) service at the entrance gate is much cheaper than a private service and will enrich your experience.
