Who should choose to take the bus to Machu Picchu?

The bus journey from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu covers approximately 9 kilometers. This route can also be done on foot. However, this option can be exhausting for tourists. So, who should choose to ride the bus to the Inca City?

Children, seniors, or young people who are not in good physical condition should choose to take the bus to Machu Picchu. Remember that walking up is tiring. Additionally, to walk up, you must be prepared with comfortable clothes, hiking shoes, and bottled water.

Tourists visiting Machu Picchu in 1 day cannot walk up to the Inca City. This is because there won't be enough time. Walking up can take between 1 or 2 hours. The bus trip takes only 30 minutes.

Tourists who chose to visit Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain should choose the bus trip. This is because these mountains require all the energy of the visitors. If walking up, tourists will already be tired before starting the hike.
