6 Key Factors Before Booking Your Ticket
Book in Advance
The official capacity is strictly limited. If you want to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain (Route 3A), you must book 3 to 5 months in advance. For the Classic circuit (Route 2A or 2B), we recommend 2 to 3 months ahead.
Official Circuits & Routes
There are 3 independent circuits spread across 10 official entry routes with specific access points. Each ticket type determines the exact sectors you can visit (panoramic, classic, or royalty).
Mandatory Documentation
A valid Passport or National Identity Document is required at checkpoints. University students must present a valid official student ID issued by their university (ISIC is no longer accepted).
Change & Cancellation Policies
The government website absolutely prohibits any refunds. By purchasing through our authorized agency, we offer the option of flexible refunds up to 72 hours before your visit (subject to an administrative fee).
Transport & Guides Not Included
It is important to remember that the entrance ticket only grants pedestrian access to the archaeological site. Train tickets, Consettur buses and official tour guides must be booked separately.
Climate & Altitude Conditions
Machu Picchu is located in a humid cloud forest at 2,430 meters above sea level. We recommend wearing layered clothing, bringing a rain poncho, and acclimatizing in Cusco beforehand to avoid altitude sickness.
